24 hours passed, and i'm able to install apps via the market app again. What a *STUPID* idea from google. I just used the functions google offers, don't they think that people might use more than a couple of apps that might have to be reinstalled when you reinstall your phone?

Don't know, but i had about 75 apps installed.

i think the problem ist, when you are using ME you must set ME back to original settings before you install another roms .
try to use another google account

The changes ME does are only runtime changes.
They are resettet if you a) change the network (e.g. flight mode, roaming, ...) or restart the system.

The Problem described in here is really just a usual market problem, happend to me a couple times.
An often working fix for the download issue from market is signout and signin again from gtalk (on the phone) or reboot the system.
In this case you had the restore problem (I had this too) and the only solution I found was waiting until it's finished
This can also happen if you have a huge list of updates and do batch updating...
